Let's compare between ten days before and current situation. As you can see, the shoot is getting long and grown new ones. These shoot makes beautiful sight as below. The tea picked in this season called "一番茶” (ICHIBANCHA). This means that first picking in the year. and this taste is so great. Every Tea merchant processes these tea leaf for drinking. If you are interested in the tea made of first picking leaf, I strongly recommend to try it once. How beautiful green there is!! Today's one is more light green. This light green comes from grown young leaf. When the leaf gets rain, they grow rapidly. It means if there are rare rain, the SHINCHA would be delayed... Thank you for visiting our blog. Today, I'd like to broadcast useful little tidbits information here. When you drink Green tea, Have you ever seen something like dust floating on the water? I often hear that someone feels disgusting this and return production to shop or someone drink tea after removing something like dust.... I'd like to say it out loud.... It's a big misunderstanding!! This is not dust but fuzz of young green tea leaf. What this fuzz prove us that the Green tea floating this is high grade one. This fuzz called "Mouji" means only young shoot has this. The more bathe in sunshine, the more loss it. Therefore, this shows us the green tea made from fresh young shoot and high grade one. Of course, it's not bad effect to your health. The Green tea made by young shoot has a great deal of component good for your health. If you drink this for your health, I recommend that you should not ignore this important signal...

Thank you for visiting our blog. Finally, Spring has come to our place and cherry-blossoms in full bloom!! Please see this picture. This is the sight from our office! Pink color of cherry blossom looks extremely beautiful. Pictures taken at around our office below. When this season come to Japan, Green tea merchant gets busy because it's the season of fresh tea called SHINCHA（新茶）. These are pictures of tea plantation near by our office.   As you can see this, There are light green leaf at the top of plants. This leafs are the new tea.  Usually, This leafs are picked up about mid of April. However, this year's growth is delayed. So This new leaf is just young one. The best timing of picking up is said that "一芯四葉” means "One stalk, Four leafs”. If even one leaf lack, other leaf get hard and quality as tea would be poor. However, Along with passing time, the way of tasting tea is getting changed. I mean it's not only drink but also use Latte, Cakes, Cookies, Bread... Few days before, I posted article that our tea will be sold at the British museum along with exhibition of UKIYOE drawn by Hokusai Katsushika from 25th May to 13th August. Our Green tea production, "Hokusai Sencha Tea-bag" After that, our merchant appeared in some news-papers, TV-news and Radio!! We are so pleased of it because we could know Japanese people pay attention to this news. Actually, There is serious problem in Japan recently. Along with the times, Young people doesn't make Green tea and drink it by themselves. However, we could see they interests in this news this time.  We guess they are also proud of this news. After issued this news to Japan, it's an honor that this happening produced a lot of reaction. When you go back to origin of Green tea, you can find the name "Shin-no".  He is a kind of god of agriculture. A long long time ago, Shin-no selected plant which can eat.
